Paintings

These are born of the Fire and Fusion conference. Please know that you may see different messages and that is well and good.
"Dove of Blessing" oil on canvas approximately 3×3 1/2 feet
On the Last day of the conference
The pouring out of the blessing upon us. It is full if rich thick paint denoting the richness of the prayer and blessing. The Dove is dropping blessings and Grace into the overflowing nest which then pours out to others.

"Windows thrown open" Oil on canvas approx 3x4feet on
This painting began as squares, then shutters were added. The insides came later and revealed to me the different gifts each denomination or person has to offer and they are spilling out onto each other. Mateo Calesi then confirmed that in the talk that followed.

" 3 Doves of Unity and Joy" stapprox 24×30 inches. Ink on yupo
This painting came before during intercession for the conference. It showed 3 diverse dives converging joyfully as they built a new foundation together (pink) (joy). Each dove has many colours in many different places showing that even to the very tips of the wings indicating how gifts are spread all over sometimes in the most unsuspecting places in ourselves and our communities
This painting was an encouraging and confirming Word for the conference.

"Three feathers from Dropped" approx. 3x4feet
Oil on canvas.
This painting began with pink (joy and blessing) and yellow ( glory). Then the color green was given. Later a feather shape developed. The Word. The Lord dropped a feather of the Holy Spirit on our conference. The next session a feather of Passion, our passion and the Lord’s together. Then the gold/ silver feather dripping. Gold Divine Glory. The painting was also scattered with gold showing the final blessing over it all. The Lord’s confirmation.

Dear friend and benefactor

January 21, 2014 by

January 21, 2014

Dear friend and benefactor,

Once again I am writing to thank you for your generous financial support to the ministry of Lift Jesus Higher. Many of you are regular supporters and I extend to you special thanks, because without you, we would not be able to continue carrying out our regular ministries, such as our Sunday liturgies and our Oasis prayer meeting on Wednesdays or our bible study on Thursday afternoons. We moved a year ago to our present location at St Louis Marie de Montfort, on Trojan St . This is still in Vanier, so we are able to continue our commitment to help impact spiritually and other ways the community in this area. I am grateful to Fr Callixte and the parishioners for the warmth of their welcome to us and for their continued friendship and support.

Some of you are new donors and I want to welcome you to our family of supporters and thank you for undertaking to support us . Many of you are on our list because you have generously given to our Peru mission. Because of your generous support we were able this year to send 25 children last February to a Camp of Faith and Prayer in Lima, Peru. This is a week-long family camp which provides both spiritual and physical nourishment to those who attend. The children we sent this year come from some of the poorest communities in Peru , where they often do not get even one decent meal a day and where they are often in danger, physically and spiritually, from the environment around them. This coming year, with your help, we are aiming to send 50 children to the camp.
The annual mission to Peru this year (our ninth in a row ) was from July 29th to August 10th and was made up of six people, including two people from St Philip’s parish, which I pastor along with St Clare’s.( Members of these two parishes have been especially supportive of the Peru mission. A big THANK YOU to you all !!) We also had two young women with us, continuing our plan to introduce young people from Canada to the realities of life in the shanty towns of Peru . Thanks to Air Canada agreeing to waive the charge for extra baggage, we were able to bring 12 bags full of clothes, shoes, toys and toiletries to distribute among the three communities we are actively engaged in supporting more than for any other year. A big thank you to all those who provided money and other gifts for this trip.

On the home front, we were blessed this year to be able to continue our commitment to building bridges with other denominations, and welcomed Pastor Mark Redner from West Carlton Christian Assembly, Pastor Shawn Gabie from Dominion Outreach Centre, and Penn Clark, a Canadian Pentecostal minister, currently residing in New York.
They all visited Lift Jesus Higher and ministered powerfully to us.
This coming year, in August, we are planning on holding a big ecumenical conference, with guest speakers from both Catholic and Protestant communities. Keep posted on our website to find out more!!

Two further ministries which Lift Jesus Higher supports are worthy of special mention. The Holy Spirit Healing Clinic, a Catholic drop-in healing clinic, where people can come to receive prayer ministry, is now meeting on Monday afternoons in the basement of St Louis-Marie de Montfort church, We have seen a gradual increase in the numbers of people coming to receive ministry, and some very encouraging testimonies of healings.
Also, thanks to the faith-filled dedication of a couple of our regular supporters, Generational Blessings seminars have been a regular feature this year in the church, enabling many people to receive in-depth ministry for deep emotional wounds, both as individuals and as couples.

So , it has once again been a very full and fulfilling year at Lift Jesus Higher and promises to be even more so in the year ahead. It is thanks to you, our wonderful benefactors, that I can say this, so I want to end this letter by expressing my heartfelt gratitude to each one of you and asking God to richly bless you as you have richly blessed us for the work of the kingdom of God.

Your brother in Christ Jesus,

Fr Bob Poole
Director.

2013 in review

December 31, 2013 by

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2013 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

A New York City subway train holds 1,200 people. This blog was viewed about 6,900 times in 2013. If it were a NYC subway train, it would take about 6 trips to carry that many people.
